An investigation into the Pentagon's failing mission to find and identify the remains of thousands of servicemembers who were missing in action from past conflicts. I discovered that the agency, the Joint Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Command, had ignored advances in science and rarely used DNA in its efforts. The story resulted in a major overhaul of the mission. This story was done in partnership with NPR, airing on All Things Considered.
